Save Rural Broadband!

In an effort to educate Congress and the public about broadband reform currently under consideration, an educational campaign of advertising and social media efforts has launched.

Save Rural Broadband was created by the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association, Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies, and the Western Telecommunications Alliance to educate Americans about Federal Communications Commission (FCC) proposals that could profoundly affect rural America. To learn more about this educational campaign, go to www.SaveRuralBroadband.org.

Recently, Mapcom representatives were among the attendees at the NTCA Legislative & Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. Many of our client companies also attended to create opportunities to discuss with their state representatives the current and future policies related to broadband services and rural business development concerns across the country.

Mapcom sponsored the distribution of 'Save Rural Broadband' badges, which were proudly worn throught the lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill by NTCA members.

These badges were also distributed during the recent WTA Spring Meeting in April.

In May, the badges will be distributed at the upcoming OPASTCO/WTA Legislative & Regulatory Meeting.
