Mapcom Announces Success of Phased Workforce Management
M4 Solutions vehicle tracking integration enhances Twin Valley Telephone’s workforce management.
August 12, 2010 – RICHMOND, VA – Mapcom Systems, developers of the M4 Solutions Software Suite, announced today the successful deployment of the initial phase of workforce management for current client Twin Valley Telephone. Twin Valley, a telephone, digital TV and Internet services provider based in Miltonvale, Kansas, is the latest of Mapcom’s clients to deploy the vehicle tracking as the initial phase of a workforce management initiative using a variety of modules within M4 Solutions. Twin Valley is now one step closer to determining the best resource for each service order and trouble ticket. Additional phases will bring intelligent skill set matching and geographic visual analysis to their workforce management deployment.

The M4 integration engine communicates with multiple vehicle tracking technologies, enabling companies to tie mobile asset data to asset records and workforce management data, which improves efficiency and eliminates bottlenecks in the dispatch process. In addition, Twin Valley is able to easily view reports for miles traveled, ignition on, ignition off, idle reports, delivery reports, historical reports on fleet locations, driver activities and vehicle performance. Integrating with M4 Solutions, truck locations are synced to the map in M4 and the map displays (in geographic reference) the physical location of trucks on the move.
