OPASTCO Innovations Showcase Awards Mapcom Second Place

Award recognizes innovative solutions for telecommunications providers.

JANUARY 26, 2012 – RICHMOND, VA – For the sixth consecutive year, Mapcom Systems has been recognized at a national industry venue for its development of innovative technology. Last week, Mapcom placed in the “Innovations Showcase,” held in conjunction with the Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies (OPASTCO) 49th Annual Winter Convention in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Mapcom placed second in a field of over 20 showcase displays. Mapcom’s entry demonstrated their ‘M4 Wireless’ software module and its ability to manage wireless operations from the front office to the field. M4 Wireless can geographically correlate and analyze wireless network data and identify gaps in services, enabling providers to target potential and existing customers. The judging was based on the significance of business impact, applicability to OPASTCO members and creativeness of display.

Mapcom’s M4 Solutions Software Suite was developed as a geographical, map-based platform from which telecommunications providers could easily manage operations. Current offerings include tools for providing network and infrastructure management, fleet and workforce management and building/campus security services. The M4 Wireless module represents the latest advancement in Mapcom’s ever-evolving suite of operational software, and offers providers new ways to maximize revenue, monitor operational trends and intelligently interpret the volumes of information from their wireless network.
