Advanced Boundary Tool Capabilities
M4 Foundation’s enhanced boundary tools allows users to quickly and accurately calculate tax boundary information in their serving areas as well as plan for future wire miles in boundaries outside of their current exchange. M4’s boundary tools will accurately identify and allocate telecommunications plant that falls within the polygon-based boundary, enabling telcos to properly account for strand and wire miles even for cables and fibers that span multiple boundaries eliminating erroneous government tax reporting and effectively managing tax expenses passed on to consumers. In addition, tools allow for data to flow into Continuing Property Records (CPR) for existing plant management.
GOS Defined
A Geographical Operations System (GOS) is an operations management platform designed to integrate with a Geographic Information System (GIS) and an Operational Support System (OSS). A GOS integrates other software applications and consolidates data while providing geographic visual representation of database information. Geographic management of your entire serving area ties mapped elements of both inside and outside plant to databases that make accessing necessary information quick and simple. The primary benefit of a GOS is enhanced information sharing company-wide and improved efficiency.
Integrating with M4 Solutions
Unlike many systems available on the market, M4 integrates multiple platforms and can be used by all departments across a provider’s management system. This open-system approach gives end users the ability to build on the software systems they already have in place, and ties them together so that information can be shared across the whole organization. Furthermore, M4 displays all plant data in a spatially accurate, intelligent view.
