Position Overview

Business Analysts are a vital component of Mapcom’s Product team that contribute to designing, building, and delivering software that customers love to use. They collaborate with product owners, developers, and users to create project specifications that support Mapcom’s company and product strategy. Product Analysts guide projects through Mapcom’s agile product development lifecycle and help ensure on-time delivery of product enhancements. They contribute to Mapcom’s commitment to product quality by assisting with proper research, preparation, documentation and testing.

Key Responsibilities You Will Have

  • Perform requirements analysis and document results
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas
  • Gather critical information from listening meetings with various stakeholders, customers, and management
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
  • Perform user acceptance testing
  • Update, implement, and maintain process and deployment procedures
  • Serve as a liaison between product and development
  • Manage competing resources and priorities
  • Monitor deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Field escalations from project and support teams

Abilities We Need You to Bring

  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable goals
  • Critical thinking skills to recommend original and valuable ideas
  • Self-motivated learner
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong writing skills to prepare detailed reports
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders who may have competing interests

Experience You Should Have

  • 0-2 years of Product/Business Analyst experience
  • Familiarity with modern product management processes, quality assurance, and project management principles within a software company
  • Familiarity with Standard Query Language (SQL) skills (Preferred, but not required)
  • Strong written and verbal skills – ability to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Must have ability to work well with others, accept direction, and operate under tight timelines
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Strong understanding and experience working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)

Support Developer

Position Overview

The Support Developer role helps grow our brand and business by working to provide timely and quality technical support for one of the premiere software solutions in the telecommunications industry. We are looking for motivated, team-oriented people who have a passion for technology to join our team; if you want to build your skill-set and join a company where you can grow in your career, then we want to hear from you! We are looking for a developer to work with our team providing devleopment support on a wide variety of platforms, languages and third-party systems.

Key Responsibilities You Will Have

  • Working directly with our lead developers and testing team to fix issues and troubleshoot challenging problems
  • Analyzing and technical planning of modifications to existing systems.
  • Making modifications, testing, handing over to internal and external clients

Abilities We Need You to Bring

  • Experience working with C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Windows Forms, jQuery, AJAX, and SQL Server
  • Demonstrated understanding of SQL and database design
  • Experience with GIS/CAD applications, Java, Telerik, Xamarin, XAML, and/or VB6 a plus
  • Strong abilities working with Microsoft products

Experience You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Detail-oriented with strong communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Previous experience in a help desk environment, telecommunications or GIS-related field is a plus
