Over 160 Attendees From Across the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean Strengthen M4 Expertise.

OCTOBER 16, 2013 – RICHMOND, VA – Mapcom Systems held their 12th Annual M4 Users Conference in Richmond, VA on October 8-10. The M4 Users Conference, themed “Explore the Possibilities,” took place at the Richmond Marriott in Richmond, Virginia. The Conference provided networking and educational opportunities for telecommunication professionals who use Mapcom’s M4 Solutions visual operations software.

The M4 Users Conference was attended by a record number of Mapcom’s clients from all over the U.S., Canada and the Carribbean. Attendees included clients with roles from Field Tech to General Manager. Thirty-eight states as well as Canada and Belize were represented with clients traveling up to 3,400 miles to attend. The M4 Certification Program, in its 2nd year, certified many more M4 Users in attendance in each of the program’s four levels of expertise: Specialist, Professional, Expert and Master. Workshop presentations and General Session meetings covered a wide variety of topics and included a preview presentation of what’s to come in M4 v14.

During the Conference, three awards were presented to M4 client companies:

  • Shentel, headquartered in Edinburg, Virginia, received the 2013 Proactive Plant Management (PPM) Award in recognition of the company’s significant work in streamlining operations and enhancing customer service. The PPM Award spotlights innovative telecommunications leaders who maximize the capabilities of M4 Solutions to manage their operations.
  • Matanuska Telephone Association, (MTA) headquartered in Palmer, Alaska, received the 2013 Rookie Company of the Year Award in recognition of ‘exceptional speed and breadth in the implementation of M4 Solutions.’
  • Pioneer Communications, headquartered in Ulysses, Kansas, received a Special Recognition Award to acknowledge exceptional company-wide participation in the M4 certification program.

Mapcom was also proud to include four of their integration partners at the Conference: Calix, headquartered in Petaluma, California; CommSoft, headquartered in Renselaer, New York; Mid America Computer Corporation, headquartered in Blair, Nebraska; and UDP, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. These partners provided an excellent platform from which Mapcom showcased their integrations. Each attending partner had multiple clients attending the Conference. This provided a great opportunity for these clients to network with each other to see the possibilities available within these integrations.
