RICHMOND, Va. – Mapcom Systems held their 17th Annual M4 Users Conference in Richmond, VA on October 8-11. The M4 Users Conference, themed “Driven to Succeed,” took place at the Richmond Marriott in Richmond, Virginia. The Conference provided networking and educational opportunities for telecommunication professionals who use Mapcom’s M4 Solutions visual operations software.
The M4 Users Conference was attended by a record number of Mapcom’s client companies from across the country. Attendees participated in workshops, product-themed Special Interest Groups and optional training classes related to their functional role within their company. The program enabled attendees to understand best practice methodology for using the M4 Software Solutions Suite to enhance service assurance, service fulfillment, network operations, and revenue opportunities.
“This year’s Users Conference was arguably our best ever,” commented Collin Granger, Mapcom’s CEO & President. “With a record number of client companies in attendance, our employees did an outstanding job of showing them the many ways our M4 software innovates to enable them to grow revenue, gain efficiencies, and enhance customer service.”
The Conference’s opening session was highlighted by keynote addresses from Dennis Bickmeier, President of Richmond Raceway, and Mike Romano, Sr. VP of Industry Affairs and Business Development for NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association.
Special programs for attendees included comprehensive “demo corner” consultations with Mapcom product managers, integration specialists, and developers, as well as “one-on-one” meetings by company with their respective project managers and Mapcom managers. The annual Customer Appreciation Dinner was held Wednesday evening October 10, at the John Marshall Ballroom in downtown Richmond.
A number of attendees were recognized for obtaining extensive levels of M4 Certification, including three who have achieved the top level of Masters Certification and were honored at a reception atop The Graduate.
During the Conference, four awards were presented to M4 client companies:
- FirstLight Fiber, based in Albany, NY, “Rookie of the Year”
- James Madison University, “Campus Innovation”
- Guadalupe Valley Telecommunications Cooperative, “Operational Excellence”
- Arvig, “Leadership Award”
The event has been held annually in the Richmond area since 2001 and has evolved into one of the industry’s top educational and networking opportunities.
