Mapcom’s John Granger coordinates panel session during regional NTCA meeting.

July 23, 2013 – Richmond, VA – Mapcom Systems, a leading provider of visual operations management software, continues to support the telecommunications industry by speaking and presenting at industry events.

On Tuesday, July 16th, during the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) Regions 1, 2 and 3 Meeting in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, Mapcom’s John Granger led the Associate Member Advisory Council’s (AMAC) panel session entitled “Critical Considerations: Four Industry Trends You Can’t Ignore”.

The panel included Granger, President of Mapcom Systems; Jeff Wilson, C.E.O. of West Carolina Telephone; Steve Metzler, Senior Vice President of JSI; Rich Baughman, Vice President of Information Technology of Shentel; and Todd Crandall, C.E.O. of Telecom Management Services. Panel members discussed some of the most imminent trends in the telecommunications industry, and ways NTCA members can adapt to these developments.

“I particularly commend our AMAC for the session they put on with the Telco experts talking about the leadership, technological innovation, policy engagement, and financial tools that will be needed to carry the industry into the future,” noted NTCA’s Shirley Bloomfield, the association’s C.E.O. since 2010. “The theme of the discussion could very well have been taken from Will Rogers: ‘Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there’,” added Bloomfield.
