M4 Software will help Pioneer Communications manage operations and infrastructure visually.

July 3, 2013 – RICHMOND, VA – Mapcom Systems, a leading provider of visual operations management software, announced today that Pioneer Communications, a telecommunications service provider based in Ulysses, Kansas, has selected M4 Solutions as their operations solution to help manage their inside and outside networks for their western Kansas facilities.

The M4 Solutions software includes comprehensive design and mapping tools, integrated work order, fiber and central office management and various support applications such as workforce management, services management and CPR integration. The M4 software is designed to map the entire telecom plant facility from the central office to the customer structure. The software then ties each map item back to an individual database record, which is then integrated with the telephone company’s existing customer, assignment and billing records.

“Like most companies, Pioneer Communications has placed an emphasis on cost-savings and efficiency as we move into the future. Mapcom’s M4 suite of products will help Pioneer meet those priorities. M4 Workforce will allow Pioneer to manage customer requests more effectively, saving us employee time in scheduling and fulfilling those requests, which translates into saving company money. Additionally, features like M4 Inventory will allow us to track and configure inventory based on a tech’s scheduled day, making their day efficient by eliminating unnecessary trips to and from warehouse facilities, all while allowing us to track and account for all Pioneer inventory,” said Catherine Moyer, General Manager and CEO for Pioneer Communications.

“Not only are we excited about the implementation of Mapcom’s M4 suite of products, but we are thrilled about working with the Mapcom staff. They have been extremely helpful from the first day, which was long before we signed the contract. Moreover, the Mapcom staff is highly involved in pushing proactive changes at the state and federal level in issues that affect Pioneer Communications and our industry. To have this type of support from one of our vendor partners is invaluable,” added Moyer.

“Mapcom’s M4 suite of products allow us to share information easily across the enterprise. The integration with CommSoft’s suite of billing and operations support systems will save us countless hours in our day-to-day operations, and allow us to focus on delivering quality service to our customers at an affordable price,” stated Jeff Walker, Director of IS/IT for Pioneer Communications. “Our operations rely heavily on the suite of products from Mapcom as well as CommSoft, and we believe we have two of the best partners you could ask for in our industry,” added Walker.

Pioneer Communications joins over 170 communications service providers who have selected M4 Solutions.
