M4 software will help Cal-Ore Telephone manage their operations and infrastructure visually.
September 4, 2014 – RICHMOND, VA – Mapcom Systems, a leading provider of visual operations management software, announced today that Cal-Ore Telephone, a telecommunications service provider with facilities in Southern Oregon and Northern California, has selected M4 Solutions as the operations solution to help manage their inside and outside fiber networks.
Cal-Ore Telephone’s objective was to find a mapping solution which would incorporate much more data behind the imagery than the system they currently were using. They also needed a more efficient method for tracking splices visually. They saw in M4 a complete solution to many of their long term goals for data mapping as well as future workforce and billing integrations.
The M4 Solutions software includes comprehensive design and mapping tools, integrated work order, fiber and central office management and various support applications, such as workforce management, services management and CPR integration. The M4 software is designed to map the entire telecom plant facility from the central office to the customer structure. The software then ties each map item back to an individual database record, which is then integrated with the telephone company’s existing customer, assignment and billing records.
