This October we took our signature event, the M4 Users Conference, online! While we couldn’t all be together in Richmond, we still spent a week together with educational sessions, training classes, and networking. In case you missed it, we’re breaking down this year’s event below with a look at some of the top takeaways from the 2020 UC.

MAPCOM AND VERTIGIS

In June, Mapcom announced its acquisition by VertiGIS, a leading GIS solution provider and software developer. During this year’s Business Update and in a special session led by members of the VertiGIS team, attendees got a chance to learn more about the company, its product suite, and Mapcom’s exciting future as part of the VertiGIS family!

VertiGIS is committed to supporting Mapcom’s M4 Solutions suite and brings some promising new technologies to the table, including Geocortex and ConnectMaster. Over the coming months, Mapcom and VertiGIS leadership will be working together to define a joint product roadmap that delivers enhanced value to Mapcom clients. Expect to hear more on this topic throughout 2021!

PINPOINT811

Earlier this year we launched our brand new locates management tool, Pinpoint811. Pinpoint has already been adopted by many Mapcom clients and it’s actively helping their damage prevention teams evaluate, manage, and complete locates tasks in a timely and accurately manner. In a breakout session featuring a live demo, Mapcom’s Parker Pierce (Manager of Product) and Emily James (Manager of Product Marketing) went behind the scenes to discuss Pinpoint’s origins and showed attendees how dispatchers and locaters both benefit from Pinpoint811’s streamlined workflow.

LOGICPATH

During this year’s UC, we also unveiled our latest product offering, LogicPath. LogicPath is an easy-to-use, central hub for inside plant teams to manage capacity, installs, troubles, quotes, orders and more. David Bodine (Sr. Solutions Engineer) and Jonathan Crawford (Director of Sales) walked attendees through LogicPath’s capabilities to empower your NOC by visualizing ISP data. With this addition, users can ditch the spreadsheets and take full control of connectivity and inventory management.

MAPCOM EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Each Users Conference, we take the time to celebrate our clients’ achievements and showcase their successes with Mapcom’s products and technologies. While this year’s event may have been virtual, we could not pass up the opportunity to publicly honor this year’s award recipients in the video below.

Please join in congratulating the 2020 Mapcom Excellence Awards Winners:
