M4 software will help Central Scott Telephone manage operations and infrastructure visually.

March 31, 2014 – RICHMOND, VA – Mapcom Systems, a leading provider of visual operations management software, announced today that Central Scott Telephone, a telecommunications service provider based in Eldridge, Iowa, has selected M4 Solutions as the operations solution to help manage their inside and outside networks for the communities they serve in Scott County, Iowa.

The M4 Solutions software includes comprehensive design and mapping tools, integrated work order, fiber and central office management and various support applications, such as workforce management, services management and CPR integration. The M4 software is designed to map the entire telecom plant facility from the central office to the customer structure. The software then ties each map item back to an individual database record, which is then integrated with the telephone company’s existing customer, assignment and billing records.

“With all the new requirements that will be coming from the FCC, State Commissions, and other government agencies we felt it was important to move our mapping system to a GIS solution that could meet the new coming requirements,” said Butch Rebman, President and Chief Operating Officer for Central Scott Telephone. “Ease of access to our online M4 GIS solution is great for our technicians and others that need access,” added Rebman.

Central Scott Telephone joins over 180 communications service providers who have selected M4 Solutions.
