Rural telecom industry recognizes Mapcom CEO, John Granger, with national award.

 

February 22, 2013 – RICHMOND, VA – Mapcom Systems is pleased to announce that the Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies (OPASTCO) recognized John Granger as recipient of the 2013 OPASTCO Leadership Award. Granger is President and CEO of Mapcom Systems, based in Richmond, Va.

Granger currently serves on OPASTCO’s Education Committee, and serves on the Board of the Foundation for Rural Education Development (FRED). In addition, he recently served on the OPASTCO Board of Directors and served as Chair of its Associate Member Committee. Granger has also appeared as a speaker at OPASTCO conferences, state telecom meetings and regional events.

The OPASTCO Leadership Award was presented by the 2012 OPASTCO Chairman Mike Osborne. This award is presented to an individual or group of individuals, representing an OPASTCO member company, recognizing their work to the benefit of other OPASTCO committees. The award was presented at the NTCA & OPASTCO Awards Banquet of the Rural Telecom Industry Meeting & EXPO, in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on February 6, 2013.
