Tom joins VertiGIS from Relias Learning where he led the platform product development organization and mergers and acquisitions as an Executive Director. Prior to that, Tom spent 8 years at Red Hat, where he led release and quality engineering for Red Hat’s flagship customer support platform and was a member of the company’s Mergers and Acquisition integration team. He has led 8 strategic acquisition integrations representing over $1 billion in transaction value, including Red Hat’s acquisition of Ansible, InkTank, and ENovance.

While at Red Hat and after, Tom advised the White House Rural Council, USDA, and Department of Labor on Technology workforce development in rural America through the TechHire program.

Before his time at Red Hat, Tom was a Vice President in Amundi Pioneer’s Marketing and Client Service organization (formerly Smith Breeden).

Tom is a graduate fellow of the University of North Carolina, where he obtained a Masters of Public Administration focused on technology-based rural economic development. He received his bachelors from Virginia Commonwealth University with a concentration in business management. He lives in Cary, North Carolina with his wife Erin and two daughters, ages 3 and 5.
